VC26 is OVER The con went extremely well, and we missed those of you who could not make it... Currently R2SF2 is deciding on who will be Con Chair for ValleyCon 27. Nothing yet has been decided. Also on their agenda will be who will create the new website, and where it will be. The current Web Design Firm has decided NOT to renew the contract with R2SF2 / ValleyCon due to personal obligations. A re-direction link will be posted as soon as one becomes availible.

THE CON WILL BE HELD! In spite of certain incidents, we shall continue as planned with the convention! Mark Allen Sheppard WILL be coming. There have been a few changes though. 1. There are some added security measures, as far as weapons policy. (Bring your toy ray guns, rubber and wooden blades, but LEAVE the metal ("live-steel") and REALISTIC looking weapons at home please. Those of you travelling across the US/CANADIAN border will need that little tid-bit of info. The US will not let you across with those kinds of weapons. ALSO: it makes everyone a bit more relaxed on the con staff (one less thing to worry about, so we ALL can enjoy the con).

Artist/Author GOH has been injured? Yesterday Mike Watkins informed me that Our Auth/Art GOH Scott Rosema will not be able to make it to Valley Con. He hurt his back enough to make the doctors tell him NO TRAVEL! So, that leaves Lady Anita as our Artist GOH!

THE HOTEL IS NOW SOLD OUT!!!! BUT, we do have an alternate hotel. The Radisson Plaza Inn and Suites in Downtown Fargo, ND (1 block away from the Quality Inn) has agreed to give Valley Con 26 attendees a room rate of $60.00 per night. Call the Fargo Radisson to arrange a room. And mention ValleyCon to get the special rate!

3 Rooms Left?! Mike Watkins (VC26 Con Chair) has just informed me that there are 3 rooms left in the hotel for ValleyCon! After that, NO MORE! REMEMBER: PRE-REG Forms MUST be in our PO BOX BY SEPTEMBER 20TH! No Post-mark, but we have to have the form in our hot little paws, otherwise it won't count!

OUR MEDIA GUEST HAS CHANGED!!! J.G. Hertzler has informed us that he will have to back out of the convention due to his acting career. He has taken a theatre position with Actress Holly Hunter. HOWEVER!!! Our new Media Guest is Mark Allen Sheppard (MORN from Deep Space 9)... Ever wonder what Quark's bar-flower is like out of Make-up? We have, and we jumped at the chance to extend an invitation to our favorite alien bar-flower! ALSO: ONLY 8 ROOMS LEFT!!! Time is RUNNING OUT! Contact Mike for more info on Hotel Rooms!
